The i3, formerly the Megacity Vehicle, based on a body structure made of carbon fiber and mounted in a frame in light aluminum extensible. The BMW i3 provides four adult occupants with excellent visibility in all directions, as well as an impressive 200 liters of cargo space behind the rear seats. For 3845mm long, 2011mm wide and 1537mm high, the five-door i3 is wider 120 mm longer and 326 mm 132 mm higher than the Mini One 
The plug-in is a compact electric motor mounted on the rear axle. Take the battery to provide the rear wheels via a single-speed transmission. As we announced a few months ago, BMW says the i3 will be offered with an optional extension system self propulsion (called REX) to satisfy those with longer trips.
