General Motors India today launched its multipurpose vehicle Enjoy an emerging price between Rs 5.49 lakh and Rs 7.99 lakh (ex Delhi exhibition-room).
The car will aspire with Maruti Suzuki Ertiga India that is charged between Rs 5.98 lakh and Rs 8.7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Enjoy is available in petrol and diesel options. The petrol version is empowered by a 1.4 liter engine and a price range of Rs 5.49 lakh and Rs 6.99 lakh.
The diesel variant has a 1.3 liter marked at Rs 6.69 lakh and Rs 7.99 lakh. The car will feature seven seats and 8 - Options places.
"Enjoy the competition in one of the fastest growing segments in India. Expect this model will be an advantage concentrating its features and price," GM India President and coordinating Director Lowell Paddock told announcers here.
The vehicle has been redesigned and re-engineered to meet the requirements of India, he added.
The experiment is based on the platform of the Chinese partner SAIC, General Motors, and a level of localization of 60 percent.
Paddock said the industry does not intend to export Enjoy and attention will focus on the home-made market.
